"Upcoming OnePlus 12R: Leaked Details Hint at January Launch with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Enhanced Cameras, and Bigger Battery"
Rumors surrounding the OnePlus 12R are gaining momentum, with expectations of its unveiling in January following the OnePlus 12's December launch in China and January global release. Leaked CAD-based renders and information from reliable sources like OnLeaks and MySmartPrice provide a glimpse into what this high-end phone has in store.
Set to differ from the recently leaked Ace 2 Pro (which the 11R was based on), the OnePlus 12R appears to boast significant improvements. Under the hood, it is rumored to run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, elevating its performance from the 11R based on the 8+ Gen 1.
The camera system is also set to receive an upgrade, featuring a zoom lens with 2x optical magnification and a 32MP sensor in addition to a 50MP main and 8MP ultra-wide cameras. This marks a notable improvement over the 11R, which had a 2MP macro camera as its third module.
Moreover, the OnePlus 12R is expected to house a 5,500mAh battery with 100W fast charging, offering a 10% increase in capacity over its predecessor. The phone will boast a 6.7" display with a 120Hz refresh rate and "1.5K" resolution, likely similar to the 1,240 x 2,772 pixels resolution found on the 11R. The display will also feature subtle curves at its sides, adhering to the current OnePlus design language.
Given the past trend, the OnePlus 12R is likely to make its way to the Indian market following its release in China, potentially arriving shortly after or even simultaneously.
